Through a national design competition, Ken Kornberg and Associates was selected to design and develop the Institute for Systems Biology’s 65,000 square foot discovery research laboratory complex on the north shores of Lake Union in Seattle, Washington. This innovative, state-of-the-art building provides an open research setting, fostering collaboration between scientific disciplines to create an environment where ideas and people flourish. All laboratories and public spaces including the lecture auditorium and café are facing the spectacular views of downtown Seattle.
