Faculty Position Opening
The Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) is soliciting applications and nominations for an outstanding candidate at the full or associate professor level in the field of computational biology. Research areas of interest may include, but are not limited to, biological modeling and simulation, network-based data integration, complex genetics, statistical methods for bioinformatics, genomics, and proteomics, design of biological databases, and software development. The ideal applicant should have demonstrated success in obtaining support for independent research projects and a strong publication record reflecting innovative, interdisciplinary, and collaborative approaches to important problems in biology.
ISB was established in 2000 in Seattle, Washington. Our aim is to revolutionize science by developing and applying the means to study biological systems and to enhance lives by applying the principles of systems biology to catalyze predictive, preventive and personalized medicine.
ISB´s multi-disciplinary scientific staff tightly integrates biologists, technologists (physicists, chemists and engineers), computer scientists and mathematicians, complemented by an extensive array of academic and industrial collaborators. Moreover, ISB is equipped with an impressive technology and computational infrastructure to support all aspects of systems biology research. The search will remain open until filled.
